Under the patronage of His Highness Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan, Minister of Culture, the third edition of the Saudi International Handicrafts Week “Banan” was held. Organized by the Heritage Commission at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University in Riyadh, the event brings together more than 400 artisans from over 40 countries, with the People’s Republic of China as this edition’s guest of honor.
برعاية صاحب السمو الأمير بدر بن عبدالله بن فرحان، وزير الثقافة، أُقيمت النسخة الثالثة من الأسبوع السعودي الدولي للحرف اليدوية «بنان». ونظّمت هيئة التراث الحدث في جامعة الأميرة نورة بنت عبدالرحمن بالرياض، بمشاركة أكثر من 400 حرفي من أكثر من 40 دولة، مع جمهورية الصين الشعبية ضيف شرف لهذه النسخة.
This year’s “Banan” coincides with the Year of Handicrafts 2025, as part of coordinated national efforts to highlight handicrafts as an integral part of the Kingdom’s cultural identity and strengthen their presence in the contemporary creative landscape, reflecting the depth, diversity, and human and civilizational richness of Saudi heritage.
تزامن «بنان» مع عام الحرف اليدوية 2025، ضمن جهود وطنية لإبراز الحرف بوصفها جزءًا أصيلًا من الهوية الثقافية للمملكة، وتعزيز حضورها في المشهد الإبداعي المعاصر، بما يعكس عمق التراث السعودي وتنوعه وثراءه الإنساني والحضاري.
The exhibition aims to spotlight and support artisans, empowering them economically and culturally. It also seeks to promote international cultural exchange through broad participation by artisans from around the world, facilitating the exchange of expertise and experiences in crafts and handmade arts.
يهدف المعرض إلى إبراز الحرفيين ودعمهم وتمكينهم اقتصاديًا وثقافيًا، وتعزيز التبادل الثقافي الدولي من خلال المشاركة الواسعة لحرفيين من أنحاء العالم، وتبادل الخبرات والتجارب في الحرف والفنون اليدوية.
